Burlington County intends to sell 48 acres of former farmland located on Leadenhall Road and Walton Avenue in Mount Laurel, which it acquired in 2017 for $6 million as protected open space for recreational purposes. Originally planned for athletic fields for sports teams at Rowan College at Burlington County, the property’s use changed when the college discontinued all athletics programs in 2021.
